TRADITIONAL JAPANESE ANIME
和風
The traditional Japanese anime aesthetic (wafu, 和風) combines kimono or yukata wardrobe, hime-cut or long-straight hair, tatami-floor rooms, and tea-ceremony / shrine-maiden / traditional dance settings. Akane is our flagship traditional character.

Wafu (和風, 'Japanese style') is the aesthetic of historical or culturally-traditional anime characters. The visual cues: kimono or yukata wardrobe, hime-cut hair (the geometric long-with-blunt-bangs style), traditional Japanese rooms with tatami floors and sliding shoji doors, traditional implements (tea sets, incense, washi paper).
Akane (our traditional character) embodies the wafu aesthetic — hime-cut dark brown hair, often in a yukata, tea-ceremony settings, classical Japanese music in her stories. Her sailor-uniform stories are an adjacent variation (school traditional rather than home traditional).
